Reports to: Science Policy Manager
The Royal Society of Biology is a single unified voice for biology: advising Government and influencing policy; advancing education and professional development; supporting our members, and engaging and encouraging public interest in the life sciences.
The Society is the leading professional body for biology, representing many of the learned societies and other organisations that make up the diverse landscape of the biological sciences, as well as thousands of individuals. Members include practising scientists, professionals in academia, industry and education, students at all levels, and non-professionals with an interest in biology. With an effective reach into all areas of biology, we are uniquely placed to represent the bioscience community and serve the public interest.
We are committed to ensuring that we provide Government and other policy makers - including funders of biological research and development - with a distinct point of access to authoritative, independent, and evidence-based opinion, representative of the widest range of bioscience disciplines.
